Our father, Robert c. Brown, passed away from complications due to cancer on October 31, 2003. My mother, Margaret E. (Rod) Brown died exactly 30 days later of pneumonia.
Because Dad's publishing business was a one-man operation, his books are no longer available. However, we are negotiating with a publisher to print the best of his work.
Dad has donated his considerable collection of railroad photographs, as well as copies of all of his books to the State Historical Society of Iowa in Iowa City, where they are available for study. Many libraries along the Burlington Route also purchased his books and have them available to the public.
