A friend of mine (Phil 'Tubesock' Hanes—I met him when we were
both doing the all-sock-puppet production of Hamlet) has broken
the sock puppet barrier into the profitable horror film genre.
Production is just starting, but he emailed me this great
pre-production concept art. The Lurking Sock Puppet is about
this monster who scares everybody in this seaside resort, but the twist
is that the monster is himself scared of this sock pupp... well, I
don't want to ruin the story for you. Look for it in theatres next
summer. It should be a gas - swamp gas, that is! (Man, I break myself
up.)
